The programmer/funcard USB is especially developed for all who regularly use a standard/slow funcard 6 for eg updating a CAM. Programming a standard funcard 6 to update a CAM takes minutes. The fun USB is the solution for time consuming updating of a cam and a good alternative for the CAS interface. When the funcard USB has been programmed it acts like a “standard’ funcard 6. It isn’t a standard funcard 6, that’s why you need the special interface. All USB communication takes place in the funcard USB. So you can program the funcard USB with full USB speed. The programmer is a simple interface to establish the connection between computer and smartcard, like eg a phoenix interface, but with much more speed. Programming the complete fun USB takes only 11.5 seconds. It takes several minutes with other programmers to program a standard funcard 6! The fun USB smartcard comes with a case. A lowcost pcb programmer without a case is also available.

The programmer is connected to and the power is supplied by an USB port (Universal Serial Bus). A standard A-B USB-cable is included (no need for an additional DC-adaptor).
Being USB1.1 compliant and working on both USB1.1 and USB2.0 controllers, ensures future compatibility.
