Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive or
download the latest software from our website. Double click
the .exe file and the setup program will initiate. The setup
program will guide you through the software install.
Once setup is complete you can start CardPro
and this screen appears.
Before you can program a card, you should
configure the software (only the first time).
From the File menu, choose Preferences.
The
software auto detects the programmer by default and your Com port will
probably be chosen correctly. But if not, then
either hit the Auto detect button or set the correct Com
port yourself.
For now, leave all other options default.
Hit Ok.
You also need to
know -before you begin with programming- which icons are used for reading or writing a file.
Below you see the icons used in CardPro:
- the left one is the open or read file
- on the right is the save or write file
Programming a smartcard can be done in just
3 steps.
- Insert the smartcard in
the cardreader (insert smartcard with contacts down) and make sure
that the right card is selected in
the combobox (1).
- Load one or more
files by pressing the open icons (2).
- Press the write button to program the smartcard (3).
